Wiadomo nie od dziś, że mieszkańcy półwyspu Iberyjskiego lubią się bawić. Bawią się głośno, entuzjastycznie i przy każdej możliwej okazji. Nie zdziwiło nas zatem, że karnawał obchodzony był z wyjątkowym rozmachem. Za radą portugalskich znajomych z ESNu, postanowiliśmy się wybrać na ostatki do pobliskiego Ovar.
It is widely known that the inhabitants of the Iberian peninsula like to celebrate. They celebrate in a loud, enthusiastic way, and on every possible occasion. It did not surprise us, therefore, that the carnival was celebrated with a unique attention. Based on advice from our portuguese friends from ESN, we decided to go to Ovar (the city nearby) to celebrate the last days of carnival.

We were a huge group of erasmus students from Aveiro and we were all dressed up!

Do Ovar dojechaliśmy zdecydowanie za wcześnie na portugalskie standardy, ale czas umijaliśmy sobie tańcząc na ulicach i podziwiając kreatywne przebrania mieszkańców miasta. Mimo, że pogoda nas nie rozpieszczała i było dość zimno, to na ulicach były tłumy ludzi: młodych, starych, rodziny z dziećmi i starsze panie - wszyscy przebrani!
We arrived to Ovar way to early but we were enjoying our time dancing on the streets and admiring the creative costumes of people living in Ovar. Even though the weather was not so goog and it was quite cold, streets were full of people: young, old, families with children and old ladies - everyone was dressed up!

Muzyka była różna: od radiowych hitów, brazylijskiej muzyki którą znamy z imprez, przez absolutne klasyki muzyki pop aż po portugalską muzykę, którą znali wszyscy poza nami. W całym mieście było też wiele różnych scen, a gdzie się nie ruszyć na ulicach były tłumy.
Music varied: from radio hits, brasilian music we know from parties, through absolute pop classic o portuguese music that were known but everyone but us. There were many different stages in a city and no matter where we moved all the streets were crowded.

Jeszcze więcej znajomych dolączyło do nas póxniej i spędzilismy całą noc praktycznie w jednym miejscu, tańcząc, śpiewając, krzycząc i próbując się nie zgubić w portugalskim tlumie. Jesli miałabym możliwość powrotu do Portugalii w przyszłym roku... zrobiłabym wszytsko, żeby wrócić własnie na karnawał! Nie mogę sobie nawet wyobrazić jak to wygląda w Brazylii...
Some more people joined us later and we've spent whole night almost in one place, dancing, singing, shouting and trying not to get lost in portuguese crowd. If I could come back to Portugual next year... I would do everything to come during the carnival time! And I can't even imagine how does it look in Brazil... ;)

Nie było wcale latwo targać ze sobą ciągle aparatu podczas tej szalonej nocy, ale warto było trochę się pomęczyć, żeby mieć tyle milych wspomnień... Stworzyłam film z naszej karnawałowej nocy w Ovar - jednej z najlepszych nocy podczas mojego erasmusa :) (jednej z wielu! :D)
It wasn't easy at all to keep camera all the time with me, during that crazy night, but it was worth a little bit of effort to have so many nice memories... I have made a video from our night in Ovar - one of the best nights of erasmus :) (one of many! :D)
